Got rid of PHM at 0.50 and took a huge lost. Should have waited a bit because it could have been a less of a lost at 0.65 close. Oh well. No woulda, coulda, shoulda. Just take it and continue. Need the capital to grow and not sit there. Now, the question is where? I’ve stumble a book this week at the bookstore regarding options. I got a few tips on what to look for with options. Interesting. I’ll have to go back and read more when time permits. Also have to finish my current book.

TIVO going back down. Will it continue? I think its fair to hold this a little longer and see. CES may be coming up but this put expires in May. We’ll see how it goes tomorrow.

MRVL and EMC both down today also. Jeeze, can MRVL get any lower? It’s like more than $3 off when I started the position. Overall portfolio went up today but still way down from the start. Screenshot after the link.

Market down today. Dow -178.11, Nasdaq -32.75, and S&P 500 -20.46

Portfolio went up thanks to a sell off with PHM (thank goodness!). After the bell, found out that DirecTV bought TiVo rival ReplayTV. That should give TIVO a beating come Monday. A big surprise indeed for this portfolio.

Ok, I’m changing the tag guidelines.
If ticker is in UPPER-CASE letters, then that means it is in the portfolio. If the tag is in lower-case letters, then it was mentioned in the blog entry only and not in the portfolio.

LEH has 4th quarter loss but beats the street’s estimates.  Market ended mixed  with Dow +44.06, Nasdaq -2.65, S&P500 +1.82

Executed an the order for EMC Jan 09 call @ $20 at price of $3.10 per contract.
